Introduction
By default, Non-Administrator Users that have access to the "Pages" system will only see the pages they have created. This tutorial will explain how to give a Non-Admin User or User Group access to the page(s) of your choosing.
Note that giving a User or Group access to a page will not automatically give them permission to access the existing content. For information on giving users access to the content on a page, please see "Updating Content Permissions."
- Step 1 - View the List of Pages
-
Begin by clicking the "Pages" tab, located in the menu at the top of any Digital Bell page. This will bring you to a list of the site's pages.
Here, locate the page you would like to update, then click the Properties button (gear icon) to the left of the title. This will bring you to the properties editor.
Return to Top - Step 2 - Add a User or User Group
-
In the properties editor, locate the "Permissions" section. In this section, you should see a list of the Users or Groups that can currently access the page, as well as their access level (Viewer, Editor, Owner). In the "Add People or Groups" field, begin entering the name of a User or User Group - as you type, a list of results will appear (if there are no results, the User or Group cannot be found).
Select the appropriate User/Group from the list, then assign their access level. Continue adding Users or Groups as needed.
Return to Top - Step 3 - Finish
-
Once the appropriate Users or Groups have been added to the "Permissions" section, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes. The Users or Groups will then be able to access this page (relative to their access level) from the "Pages" section of their Dashboard.
Note that these Users/Groups will not automatically have access to the content that appears on the page - to allow the Users or Groups to edit the content that appears on the page, please see "Updating Content Permissions."
