Introduction

This article will explain how to redirect a page on your website. By redirecting a page, all links to your chosen page will take your site's visitors to an alternate page of your choosing. You can redirect links to both internal Digital Bell pages, and pages from external websites.
Step 1 - Edit the Page Properties

From your Digital Bell Dashboard, click the link labeled "Pages" in the menu at the top of the page.

Browse through, or search the list of pages to locate the page you wish to redirect. Once you have found the appropriate page, click the Properties button (gear icon) to the left of the page title. This will take you to the page property editor.

Step 2 - Set your Redirect

In the page property editor, scroll down to the "Redirect to Page" field. If you are redirecting to an internal Digital Bell page, use the "Redirect to Page" section to select it. If you are redirecting to a page on an external website, enter the URL address in the "Redirect to URL" field (ex. http://www.google.com).

NOTE: If you are using the "Redirect to URL field, you must enter the full address, beginning with "http://" for this feature to work

Optional - Removing a Redirect

Pages that have been redirected include a small icon (small arrow inside a globe) to the left of their title, which can be seen when viewing your list of pages. Clicking the Edit button (pencil icon) for a redirected page will also reveal a disclaimer at the top of the content editor.

Content can be added to a redirected page, however it will not be displayed on the site. Before removing a redirect, it is recommended to first add content to the page.

To remove the redirect and display the page content insead, begin by clicking the "Pages" link (located at the fop of any Digital Bell page). This will bring you to a list of the site's existing pages. Locate the page that is being redirected, then click the Properties button (gear icon) to the left of the title. This will bring you to the properties editor.
