Introduction

This tutorial explains how to add links to pages or email addresses and documents.

Links to Other Pages or Email Addresses

Step 1 - Edit the Text Block

Links can be added to the "Content" field of elements such as Text Blocks, Posts, and FAQs. Start by editing the text you wish to make into a link. Highlight it with your mouse and then click on the "Insert/Edit Link" button ("chainlink" icon) located on the first row of the editing toolbar.

Step 2 - Enter the URL

In the pop-up window, enter the full address (ex. https://www.google.com) in the "Link URL" field. To link an email address, use the following format:

mailto:email@domain.com

For example, mailto:support@gslsolutions.com

Step 3 - Select the Target

The Target determines how the link opens in the visitor's browser. If the link should open in the same tab/window, leave the target as is (the default opens in the same window). If the link should open in a new tab/window automatically, select "Open in new window (_blank)." Finally, click the "Insert" button to link the highlighted text.

Finish - Hit Submit

Continue editing the Text Block / FAQ / Post as needed.

Optional: To remove the link, click on the "Unlink" button directly to the right of the "Insert/Edit Link" button, while the link is highlighted. To edit the link, highlight the link text and click on the "Insert/Edit Link" button.

Step 1- Edit the Text Block

Begin by clicking on the Text Block to open the Text Block editor. Next, place your cursor on an existing link, or highlight text to create a new link. Click on the "Insert/Edit Link" button ("chainlink" icon) on the first row of the editing toolbar. This will open a pop-up window.

Step 2 - Upload or Select your File

Click the "Upload" tab in the pop-up window, then click "Choose file for upload..." 

If you have aleady uploaded the file, click the "Files" tab. Next, use the search bar to search for your file by file name, then click the appropriate file name to select it.

Step 3 - Select the Target

Uploading or selecting a file will fill in the "Link URL" field. This is the URL to your document. Optionally, select the "Target" (open link in the same window/open link in a new window). Finally, click the "Insert" button to link the document.

Finish - Hit Submit
Lastly, make sure to click the "Submit" button to save your changes. Return to Top
