GSL Solutions is pleased to announce the availability of a new version of the software that delivers the Digital Bell, HillTop, and FrontRunner services. This release of the software is considered to be an incremental release and contains minor feature improvements and a number of bug fixes.

What You'll Notice As Being Different

  • When you are looking at a school calendar, you'll now notice an "iCalendar" button in the upper right corner. If you click on this new button, you can add the events on the school's calendar to your personal Google Calendar or Outlook calendar. Changes to the school calendar after you do this will be automatically updated on your personal calendar.
  • You can no longer accidentally delete a school's home page -- you can edit it, but you can't delete this because if you do, it really messes up your web site!
  • We simplified the process of entering text blocks. We used to present you with a bunch of options that you really didn't need to fill out, the options are still there but we've hidden them so that you won't get confused.
  • The products now support multi-step forms. The information that you wanted a user to enter used to have to be entered on one long form. Now you can break that data up into multiple forms. The user will enter the requested data on the first form and then hit "next" and the the next form with data to be entered will be displayed. We've discovered that users are much more likely to complete long forms when they are presented this way.
  • When you change a page, a form, or an ad to inactive, it will no longer be displayed when you list all of the pages, forms, or ads. This makes it much easier to manage and work with just the pages, forms, and ads that are actually being displayed on your website. The inactive pages, forms, and ads can still be accessed when you do an "advanced search" and ask the system to display all of the inactive pages, forms and ads.

The Digital Bell and FrontRunner production software will be updated on Tuesday, September 2 between 11:00pm - 2:00am. During this maintenance window customers may experience up to 60 minutes of service interruption during which you will be unable to access the service.
