Introduction

This tutorial will explain how to update the Board Minutes page with FrontRunner. Board Minutes have been transitioned to the "Posts" system, and the steps below detail the process of creating a new post, attaching the appropriate Board Minutes .pdf file, and publishing it to the site.
Step 1: Navigate to the "Board Minutes" Section

Begin by mousing over the "Posts" tab, located in the menu at the top of any FrontRunner page, to create a drop-down menu. In the drop-down menu, click on "Board Minutes."

Step 2: Create a new Post

This will bring you to a page listing the existing Board Minutes posts, where you can create new posts and edit or delete existing posts. To create a new post, click the "Create" button in the right sidebar.

Step 3: Add Title and Date Information

After clicking the "Create" button, you will be taken to the "Add Board Minutes" form, where the details of the post are entered. Begin by entering the title, using the appropriate format. Next, use the "Date" section to select the date the Minutes were recorded.

Clicking inside the first field in this section will display an interactive calendar - navigate to the appropriate date, then click to select it. By default, the selected date will be entered in both fields. After selecting the date, proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Attach the Board Minutes PDF File

Next, scroll down and locate the collapsed "Related Content" section. This section will be located below "Feature Groups," and directly below the collapsed "Display Options" section. Click the "Related Content" text to expand the section. Related Content Collapsed

Here, the .pdf file can be attached in two ways:

  • If the .pdf has not yet been uploaded to the website, click the "Upload Files" button. This will open a file browser, allowing you to navigate to the appropriate .pdf file. Double click the file to begin the upload process. Once the upload automatically completes, click the "Done" button to retrun to the form.

  • If the file has already been uploaded, however, click the "Choose from Warehouse" button. This will display a window containing the files in the Warehouse, sorted in descending order by date, with the newest upload at the top of the list. Scroll through the list to locate the file, or use the search box to enter the filename, and view a list of matching results. Once you've located the appropriat file, click the "Select" button to attach it.

Once you've uploaded or selected the appropriate file, its file name will be listed below the buttons.

Finish - Submit the Post

Now that the file has been attached, the form is complete - the remaining fields and options on the form can be left blank, or at their default settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the right-hand (white background) "Submit" button to complete the process and return to the list of existing Board Minutes posts.

 After clicking the "Submit" button, the new post will be listed on the public-facing Board Minutes page, with a download button linked to the file attached in the previous step.
